ARE YOU OK? (2020) Inkjet on letter size paper, envelope and digital poll.

Are You OK? is a project created during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 that seeks to create meaningful relations with the others surrounding us while our physical approaches are restricted and different ways to approach the others are needed.

The project consisted of three parts: the envelope, the letters and the poll. Each letter containing an smiling digital portrait, a greeting and a QR code was printed over 40 times and given to random participants walking around the Old Irving Park area in Chicago, IL. All the envelopes say “Glad to have found you. This is for you (Esto es para ti).”
The letters addressed to whoever decided to participate will send them using a QR code to this poll that gave the participant a free space to tell me if they are ok or not and what is at the top of their heads at the interaction time.

This ongoing project expanded to digital spaces like Facebook and Instagram and keeps getting responses. The responses will be exhibited with the letter models in a date to be determined at Agitator Gallery.
